# Canada to India document planning checklist

Prepared by Krystal7 Consultants. Reviewed 22 Sep 2026.

This worksheet helps prepare a document review. The final filing and bank requirements depend on the investor and transaction.

Record both the issuing authority and the province of notarisation. Canadian apostille routing depends on these details, so one corporate file can need more than one route.

| Document group | Preparation question |
|---|---|
| Parent registration | Was the company incorporated federally or in a province, and who issued this record? |
| Notarial documents | In which province did the notary certify each document? |
| French records | What English translation and certification does the Indian recipient need? |
| Personal records | Are the passport and address evidence current and consistent with the proposed director's name? |

Global Affairs Canada and designated provincial authorities share apostille work. Current federal guidance sends documents notarised in Alberta, Ontario or Saskatchewan to that province's authority. British Columbia and Quebec apply an additional document origin condition. Check the current instructions for each item.

For example, a federal company certificate and an Ontario notarised resolution should be classified separately before dispatch. The company's registered address alone does not settle the routing question.
